This slideshow is of a flash flood on Howard's Creek at Allman's Landing July 10, 1965. (In the pictures you'll see Juanita "Macko" McFarland's houseboat which was docked at Allman's landing, and was washed away in the flood. Juanita was an editor at the Lexington Herald Leader).
