Allman's Beer Cheese is a family tradition that has spanned over 80 years. It's prepared in small batches by Johnnie Allman's grandson Ian and his wife Angie. Ian is the third generation of Allman's to prepare his family's renowned beer cheese recipe.
Many folks remember Johnnie Allman and his various restaurants, especially those located on the Kentucky River near Boonesborough. It was at his first restaurant, The Driftwood Inn where Johnnie first served his cousin Joe Allman's "Snappy Cheese". It was traditionally served with saltine crackers, radishes, and celery as a complimentary appetizer. We're proud to bring back to you the one and only original Allman's Beer Cheese!
